Hobbies...

Today I am going to tell you about my hobbies. The last semester I did not have too much free time so I couldn’t do too much sport that are my favorites hobbies. Since I was young, I always liked to do extra things especially sport. When I was little I did ballet and “danza moderna”, but when I was like eleven years old, I started practicing athletics and it has become one of my favorites sport and hobbies. I started practicing it at school with a lot of friends but when the years passed by my friends deserted on this activity, so in my secondary school I was the only one that still persisting. In my last secondary year I was not to rigorous with my training because of the PSU but last semester I did anything at all! So now I am trying to resume my training because I really like it and it is very good for me.
Athletic was not only good for my health, it teached me a lot of things like persevering. When I started doing this I was not a very talented person and sometimes that makes me feel disappointed, but I keep persevering and working hard, even If I was not very good, and there is a phrase that express perfectly my idea: all the work has fruits, so after work hard a lot of years my training started to make effect, and then I was not bad at athletic, actually I was very good. These teach me that I can do what ever I want, but I would have to be patient and work for it.
And other thing that I would like to recover is that I met a very important person that still being a very important to me and that is my coach. After all those years I really get to met her and be came very close and she has helped me with a lot of things and a found a person that it is so much more than just a coach is more like a friend.

holidays destinations

It’s kind of difficult to choose just one place where I have had a great time, because the last four years I had really enjoy all my vacations in different places, but if I have to pick just one I would choose Punta Cana in Dominic Republic.
I went to Punta Cana three years ago in winter vacations with a family’s friend so I could do everything with my friend. What I really like about this place was that you can do lot activities but you can also rest if you want to. The “Paradisus hotel” (where I staid) was “all inclusive” so you can have what ever you want to drink or eat, and it also includes different restaurants with food of different countries. In my stay in this country I did a lot of things like diving, walks, sail, sunbathing, go shopping, excursions, parting, swimming with sharks, go to a natural pool, etc. As you can see in Punta Cana you won’t get bored!
In my next summer holidays I would like to go out of Chile but I think that It would not be possible this year because I don’t have any money and It is a little late to plan something out of the country.
I think that this summer I would like to spend it with my friends and my family, because I have not seen them too much this years, so I’m planning to be with my parents one month and go to somewhere with my friends the other month.
I feel that vacations with my parents has to be more a relaxing and calm because I am going to be very tired at the end of the year, so I need a “recovering vacations” first and then a “party vacations” with my friends.
With my friends I like to rent a house in some nice beach where we can go to the beach and bathing in the sea, go to fairs, to make excursions, but it is very important that this place has to be good to party and to go clubbing. Taking these requirements I think that Viña del Mar would be an excellent option for summer holidays.
I hope that everything goes right this year so I can take long and beautiful holidays!

LBP

Low back pain (LBP) is second most common reason for seeing a physical therapy, actually 85% will have the experience of suffering these kind of pain.
For young people this problem is not as complicated as old people because younger than 45 years old can fix their problem between 2-4 weeks, but the older individuals is not that easy so it cause a lot of troubles at works.
It is very important the management and treatment of mechanical low back pain so at 21st century governments, doctors, organization make awareness providing the information to prevent musculoskeletal impairments.
LBP can be cause by a traumatic event or cumulative trauma that can be produces in workplace and an other cause can be neuropathic is approximately 2% reported in persons aged 40-59 years, degenerative changes, herniated disk about 4%, or osteoporogic compressions 4%.
The sex prevalence has not been established, but 50-90% of pregnancy women develop LBP in very early weeks of pregnancy.
Persons that are affected with this kind of disease usually present on their history records: falls, car accidents, prolongated sitting, working with vibrating machines, etc.
LBP is not connected with mortality, but we make sure that these disease affect most of people especially the oldest one, and it is one of the most usually excuses of people to be absent at work.

About transantiago...

I think that transantiago is not a very good system for this city and I think that it’s very important to say that this idea was bought to Spain, but now at days that country doesn’t use that system because it didn’t work so why do Chilean government thought that it will works in Santiago?
I think that the new machines are in better condition but they are too big for Santiago’s streets so sometimes when it has to turn in a corner it is very difficult. I also think that people take more time to get to an other places that it took before, because the rout are different and shorter than there was before, and now If you want to get to some place you have to take more than just one bus.
But Transantiago is not a completely disaster, because the Bip has help to the security of the drivers because before assault were very common, and not just drivers are safeties, the new machine has camera to get record of what is happening inside of the bus.
Transantiago is better too in the problem of the races that the drivers did because they wanted to catch more people to get a better salary, so it was very dangerous because they drove very fast, and it was very used that the bus didn’t stop when you ask theme to stop, so our time and punctuality used to depends on driver’s mood.
Transantiago started being a completely disaster but I think that it is so much better now because they have really worry about people’s needed so they make new ways, more buses and control the time that buses takes in their ways.

my experiences during the first term of 2009...

The last semester was a very stressing moment, but I think that I learn a lot of things that would be necessary for the future in my major. For example I learned anatomy, histology, chemistry, biology, etc. and al these things are very important to understand the base of physical therapy. Like I said Last semester I didn’t have too much free time so I didn’t do too much exercise, witch is a very bad thing because I really like sports and I am a very active person so it’s good to liberate my energy. One of the things that I love of this semester is that we have sports signature, so know I am obligate to do exercise.
In my free time I tried to be with my friends and family, I really miss them know that I don’t see them too much. Actually it’s kind of complicated too deal with all the responsibilities because you need to dedicate a lot of time to everything, like friends, family, boyfriend, to study, sports…
My first semester in University was really hard because it’s very different demand comparing school with university, for example if last year I just needed to study 3 hours at week, know I need to study 3 hours at day al least! And I have more test or controls that I have in school. Last semester my challenge was just passing all my signatures and I did it so I’m very proud of me.
I love my major but it is really hard, so I just have to keep perseverating to be a good professional.

my ideal job

My ideal job is working as a physical therapist of curse. I think that I had already told you that I would like to work on Teletón, because I really like Traumatologic area, and Teletón is perfect for this area. To work in things like this you do not need just a good knowledge about human body, you also need to be a person that shows sympathy, full of hope, and happy because people needs to be around of happy people that motivates them to fight. I think that I am a very hopefull person so I can motivate people to keep trying over and over, and I realle like to help people, so I will never get tired of it. I don’t know how hard t is to find a job in physical therapy area, but I think that to work in Teletón you have to be a very good professional, because you are working with people and with there problems so if you make a mistake you can cause very important problems.
I also would like to work at the same time in something more artistic but it would be more like a hobby, for example taking photographs.

ken robinson

When children are born, they are highly creative, you could say that all children are born artists, reasons are many, but high among them is their not being afraid to be wrong, when they grow up, they loose that capacity, this is caused mainly by the education we give them.
Our education system was developed during the industrial revolution, when a job was given mainly to students that had academic abilities on scientific subjects, not on artistic subjects, son emphasis was given to those subjects, and also students where following these criteria, because if you didn´t have a job, it meant poverty for your family.
So creative people were not good at school and could not find a job after graduating.
Now we have found that intelligence is dynamic and that different talents are needed to be able to survive on the long term for humanity.
But still education systems are pretty much the same as it has been since its conception.
So our goal is to rethink education and balance what our children are going to learn in terms of our future needs.
